What to expect when your pet is hospitalized
- You will receive a text once your pet is headed to surgery and once awake from anesthesia.
- You will receive a phone call from the doctor before pickup (if it is same day surgery) or before the end of the business day (if your pet will be spending the night)
- A 15-20 minute visitation is allowed if your pet is spending the night. The time of the visitation will be determined after surgery. Visitation is sometimes not recommended for anxious pets due to heightened anxiety following the visit requiring heavy sedation. This will be determined by the attending doctor.
- Our recovery center is monitored 24 hours per day providing your furry companion quality postoperative care so that they can have a safe and pain free recovery.
- You will receive a morning update if your pet was hospitalized overnight and a scheduled discharge time.
- Your pet will be discharged with all appropriate medications, written prescriptions, and written care instructions.
